The first step is to contact me and we can confirm that my rebuild service is right for you. We can then discuss any details and schedule a time for your rebuild.
The cost of the rebuild can vary by a wide range depending on the actual condition of your transmission. Meaning simply the amount of wear and damage on the transmission. Some components will need to be replaced because of normal wear and other components may be damaged. Obviously it is to your advantage to repair or rebuild your transmission at the first sign of trouble. Continuing to drive your vehicle until the transmission develops major problems and stops working will only cost you more.
It is impossible to know the true condition of your transmission until it is disassembled and inspected. My estimates are based on component costs, labor, and a safety margin added in. The safety margin is there to cover any surprises that might be encountered during the inspection. Your actual cost may be lower than my estimate. You will know your actual cost after the disassembly and inspection of your transmission and will only pay for what is necessary.
If I think that your transmission is severely damaged I may recommend buying a re-manufactured transmission with a 3-year warranty (and unlimited mileage) from a reputable supplier. That will generally be the better deal since you will have an almost new transmission for a little more than the cost of a rebuild. Please contact me before making any decisions. I will always give you my honest opinion and point you toward your best option.
